Stephen Chidwick Wins Huge Cash Prize In High Roller Million$

The High Roller Million$ events continued this week, and there was a huge success for Stephen Chidwick in one of the events. Chidwick has been no stranger to success throughout his career, and this win is yet another example that shows how dominant he can be.

Chidwick finished first in the event, which also consisted of 458 other players to win a huge cash prize of $232,843. It was an excellent performance throughout the event by Chidwick, and it never looked likely that he was going to surrender his lead after he had got his nose in front in the Roller Million$.

Chidwick Has More Chance Of Success

There were an esteemed number of names in the running throughout the competition this week. With, Chris Moorman finishing in tenth place and taking home $8,926. The player that finished second on the leaderboard was Renan Bruschi. The Brazilian still managed to take home $232,591 for finishing in second place, which highlights that it wasn’t the worst of days at the office for him.

Meanwhile, it could still be another lucrative week for Chidwick, as he is set to be involved in the final table of the Super Million$ this weekend. Success in that event could see Chidwick walk away with another six-figure sum, and his past form would indicate he will likely be there until the end. He finished second in a competition last week and took home $263,791.

British players in general have enjoyed an excellent week of performances with GGPoker, as there have been some huge winners throughout. Simon Higgins was able to take home $10,720 after finishing sixth in the High Rollers Marathon. Meanwhile, Scott Margerson and ‘FreshlyBaked’ have also took home $10,190 and $5,974 respectively from different competitions over the past weekend. Chidwick will be hoping that the British domination continues this weekend with another big win.

Sad News In The Poker World

However, it hasn’t been all news about winners in the poker world, as it was revealed on Monday afternoon that one of the most respected poker players in America had passed away. Sam Grizzle was one of the trail blazers in the early success of modern poker on the television, but he sadly passed after on Monday after having a stroke. The news was revealed by Mike Matusow on social media, before it was later confirmed by Todd Brunson.

Fans of the game would have got their first glimpse of the player back in 2003 when the World Series of Poker Main Event was on television. He became an instant star of the game, and his brashness made many of the events that he was involved in must-see. Poker fans have been quick to post messages of support for the family on social media, as Grizzle will be missed.
