The winner of the CSOP event is set to walk away with $5,000 in cash but that is not all that players can look forward to. There are final table and bounty prizes including in the schedule and to help raise more funds for the charity, there will also be a silent auction.

What the CSOP Is All About

The idea of having the Charity of Series of Poker included in the Run It Poker Reno IX schedule was conceived about a year ago. This came after Matt Stout, the founder of the CSOP traveled from Las Vegas to Reno where he met with Jason Sommerville. Not only did Stout find the opportunity to strike a collaboration deal during the visit but he also went on to top a field of 687 runners to win a whopping $70,000 at the RUI Reno VII Main Event.

“It’s really exciting for us to finally be a part of the Run It Up series,” Jason Somerville has built a great series with an incredible atmosphere that makes it a perfect partner for CSOP events. I look forward to working together on fun events for great causes,” said CSOP Founder Matt Stout.

As mentioned earlier, the upcoming CSOP event will be raising funds for the Folded Flag Foundation. This organization is on a mission to provide educational scholarships as well as support grants to the spouses and children of US military and government personnel who may have lost their lives in the line of duty.
