After a very successful testing period, PokerStars is ready to launch fully in the state of Pennsylvania. The online poker brand tested its software for limited hours on Monday and Tuesday this week, and is now ready to be an official provider in the state.

Over the course of the two-day testing period, PokerStars saw nearly 2000 players log on to the site. 700 showed up on the first day and 1100 logged in on the second. Players had the option of creating new accounts or using existing PokerStars credentials to enter, but would have to create new usernames.

“PokerStars PA is now officially live after receiving full approval from the regulator. We look forward to welcoming players in Pennsylvania around the clock and we’re very excited by the level of engagement and support so far.”

– Rebecca McAdam Willetts, representative for PokerStars

It was Wednesday morning that PokerStars PA went live. As part of the official software, players will have access to a wide range of online poker cash games, sit & gos and tournaments. Spin & Gos and Zoom Poker are not yet available, but it is expected that they will be launched at some point.

When it comes to cash games, there is quite an extensive collection available for players. In NLHE, stakes from 1c/2c are available, all the way up to $50/100. For all other games, like Omaha, Stud and Draw games, players will be able to wager 50c/$1 up to $100/$200.

Tournaments will also be a huge draw for players in Pennsylvania, as there are some very impressive guarantees up for grabs – especially on Sunday. The $250 Sunday High Roller offers players a $10,000 guarantee, while the $100 Sunday Special provides a $40,000 guarantee. On Sunday, players will be able to take part in five major events with over $67,000 in total for their guaranteed prize pools.

There will be a $20,000 Welcome Freeroll available to on November 17. This exciting event will celebrate PokerStars finally entering the Pennsylvanian poker market.

There will also be promotions aplenty at PokerStars PA. New players will be able to take advantage of a 100% match bonus up to $600 and $30 in free play ($20 for cash games and $10 in tournament tickets). Welcome Freerolls will also be available every day, offering prize pools of $1000 to new players.
