KO Series Brought To A Close, As Final Winners Crowned

Poker fans would have been gripped to the action taking place at the PartyPoker KO series over the past couple of weeks. The action got underway on Christmas Day, but it was brought to an end last week. There were a number of high-profile events throughout the season, with three Main Event champions among the winners. It was certainly a successful event on the whole, and the three final events of the series took place on the final day of the event.

Kabuzzz Wins Event

One of the standout events of the final day of the series was the $1,050 buy-in KO Main Event. There was a guaranteed prize fund of $1,187,000 up for grabs in the event, which was due to the immense interest in the tournament. There were 1,187 players involved in the event. However, none of the players involved could get anywhere near Kabuzzz. The winner walked away with a total prize amount of $114,062, which included $68,049 in bounty money. That prize amount was massive compared to the amount picked up by the remainder of the field.

ThanksBro was the player that fell in the final heads-up challenge in the closing stages, as the player needed to settle for second on the leaderboard and $93,748 in prize funds. There were still lucrative prizes for some of the other players in the top nine on the leaderboard. Among those were HolaComoEXtas, PhatToad and Jupiter Jones who finished third, fourth and fifth respectively. PHUNERAL managed to finish in sixth, while Jamnix_90, Balls2Heart1 and Kaikki Rahat also made up the final places on the leaderboard.

Scelevco Wins KO Series Event

There was also a win for Scelevco on the final day of the series. The player was able to win the KO Series Mini Main Event. It was one of the most popular events of the day, with 3,823 players involved in the event. The number of interest saw an enhanced prized fund for the players involved, with $382,300 in the prize fund for the players to fight for. However, no player was able to get near to the eventual champion, who accumulated $35,800 in prize money from the event. That was made up of $21,892 in prize funds and $13,908 in bounties. Sentaa Pua was the player that finished in second place, as they won $27,876 despite being beaten in the heads-up challenge to bring a close to the game.

The top two finishers both claimed the highest returns in bounties from the event. STDCALLRANGEXD finished in third place on the leaderboard, while LOVEONTOPREG finished fourth, and there were places in fifth and sixth for Albopkr100 and plzhold. FlusH-Nemesis85 took seventh spot and walked away with $5,711 in returns, while Whyuslurpin claimed eighth on the leaderboard, and QST106_ took the final place. The final player on the leaderboard took home $3,924 in prize money from the event.
