Joe Hindry Wins Career-High Score At 888Poker Live London

There was some fascinating poker action taking place in the United Kingdom this week, and there was a memorable moment for Joe Hindry. The star of the show in the 888Poker Live London Main Event won the biggest purse of his career, as he picked up a total prize of £60,000.

No doubt it was one of the most memorable moments of the year on the British circuit, and he was seemingly delighted with his performance at The Poker Room when speaking about the competition shortly afterwards.

Hindry Wins Career Best Total

The tournament was a thoroughly entertaining one in London, as it attracted a field of over 600 players at the location formerly known as The Vic. Hindry’s prize for outlasting the opposition was a cool £60,000, which far eclipsed the total winnings that he has won going into the event. Previously, the British star has won returns of just over £37,000 at the London Main Event back in 2016. For a long time that had remained as his biggest payout in an event, but this event far exceeded that return.

The final action on the table at The Vic was stunning, but there would have certainly been delight among many of the players that were involved as they were able to walk away with some of the biggest purses in their poker history. However, Hindry’s success to win the top prize of £60,000 and his sheer delight will be the last memory of many from the 888Poker Live London Main Event this week.

Final Leaderboard Standings

There were a number of players on the final leaderboard that walked away with considerable returns from the event this past week. Among those was Rodrigo Gwaderaaze, who finished in second on the leaderboard. The runner-up still won returns of £40,930 from the event, while Kevin Allen, who finished in third place overall won returns of £24,800. Matt Gray was back in fourth in the standings, and was the only other player to win over £10,000 in returns from the event, as he collected £15,660.

Neil McCullock finished in fifth place overall, and collected £9,870 in winnings for his performance in the event. The next two leaders on the leaderboard were Steven Game and Calogero Morreale, who picked up returns of £7,220 and £5,060 after finishing in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Michael Burnett finished the event in eighth place overall, while the first player knocked out in the poker event at the final table stage was K.N. and he won £3,620.
