Ciaran Cooney Wins Huge Unibet International Poker Open Main Event

It has been another busy week for poker fans around the world, and one of the standout events during this week came at the International Poker Open in Dublin. The event was hosted by massive bookmaker Unibet, and there was a total of 211 players involved in the competition this week in Dublin.

There was a buy-in price of €300 that players needed to pay to get involved with the action, which meant that there was a total prize pool of €59,502 for the top players in the competition. Only the players that finished in the top 35 would be able to get a slice of that pie. However, one player that didn’t need to worry about his final position to earn returns was Ciaran Cooney, who won the competition outright.

It was a dramatic second day of action at the event, as 30 players were still in contention as the action got back underway. However, four of the players knew that they would be leaving the competition with nothing to show for their hard work throughout the competition. The final player to fall before the prize money was awarded was L1m1tLess, who crashed out. The smallest prize money that was given to a player at the event was €514.

The top nine players were awarded significantly higher returns for their performances at the event. Peter Madsen was the first player to fall on the final table, but he was still able to take home €1,046 for his performance. YlijohtajaMC was the next player to fall, as he finished in eighth place and took home €1,339. Barckk was the seventh player on the leaderboard as he claimed a prize fund of €1,903.

Cooney walked away with a huge prize total of €12,524, while the player that finished in second place was able to feel reassured with their performance as they took home €8,946.
