Huge Prizes Awarded During GGPoker Events Over Weekend

It was an excellent weekend of action around the table, as there were some huge GGPoker events that took centre stage. One of the biggest events that was taking place was part of the WSOPC event, which saw Kevin Martin walk away with healthy returns. However, the GG Twitch Squad member couldn’t get his hands on one of the illustrious Circuit Rings, but no doubt the hefty cash prize likely more than made up for that.

Martin Takes Cash Prize In COLOSSUS Field

One of the biggest events that was staged over the weekend was the COLOSSUS Final Table. There were a huge number of players involved in the event, with 9,624 official entrants creating a massive prize pool of just over $3.5 million. There was good news for all the players that finished inside the top 1,000 places, as they all picked up returns for their performances, which meant that despite some players being disappointed with their finishes, they still would have been appeased with the returns that they were able to pick up.

Martin couldn’t manage to come out on top in the COLOSSUS event, but he did make it until the final stages of the event. Eventually, he finished back in third but he was still able to take considerable returns from the event and that finish, as he cashed out for $207,178. The player that won the event was Croatian star OOL. The Croat would have been delighted with their effort, as they won an eye-watering sum of $368,421 for their excellent performance.

They narrowly held off the threat of Dodiapa in the closing stages, as the Hungarian finished in third. Big prize returns were also picked up by Mexican duo Luis Dono and Aliaksei Boika, while Canadian player Nick Maimone was back in seventh on the final table and won $65,515.

Fox Wins Huge Returns In High Roller Event

There was also captivating action in the Super High Roller event that was staged over the weekend. In total, there were 62 players involved in the competition, which saw a huge purse of $1.5 million up for grabs. Only the players that finished in the top eight places in the event were able to take home returns, which meant that there were some big wins to cover on the final table. The biggest of the winners was Elio Fox, as he picked up just under $400,000 in returns from the Super High Roller event.

It was a close finish to the poker event, as Lev Gottlieb eventually settled for second spot in the standings, which still meant considerable returns of $308,000. Other big winners in the final five spots on the final table included Isaac Haxton, Ami Barer and Marius Gierse. The latter of those stars won returns of $144,000. Other players to have finished on the final table included Timothy Adams, David Yan and Jason Koon. Koon was the final player to earn returns, as he picked up $67,000.
