888poker Signs Russia’s Daria Feshchenko As New Ambassador

A couple of days to its highly-anticipated 888poker LIVE SOCHI Festival Main Event, the renowned online poker operator announced that it had signed a brand-new poker player to their neat roster of ambassadors. 26-year-old Russian poker pro Daria Feshchenko is now the latest player to join Team888.

While the poker pro has been a poker player for a decade, she and 888poker first teamed up in 2018 during the poker site’s ‘8-Team’ competition which went down during the 2018 World Series of Poker. Now, both parties have decided to take their working relationship to the next level with Daria joining other members of Team88 by taking on the role of a full-time ambassador.

Born in Moscow, Russia, Daria Feshchenko has been playing poker for 10 years, a career she balances while raising a 7-year-old son as a single mother. In addition to that, she also happens to be an accomplished model as well as a linguist – she studied the Indonesian Language at the University of Moscow. But that is not all. Some of her other hobbies include reading, theatre, and ballet as well as board games which comes as no surprise considering how good she is at casino games.

Ten Years of Poker and Counting

Daria’s poker career started ten years ago albeit through underground poker cash games. Six years after her first encounter with poker, she decided to pursue it further by participating in cash games and tournaments at casinos all around the world.

“I fell in love with the game immediately. I never heard about forums and online poker so I just went to the biggest book show and bought all the books about poker. For a long time, I was playing only underground cash games,” she recalls.

Daria who goes by the name “Scarlett” in the online poker world has grown and improved her skill – these days she is a regular participant in the $50/$100 No-Limit Hold’em games. Her overall tournament records are also quite impressive. She has cashes from all over the globe and has amassed over $236,000 in live tournament earnings since 2015. Her career-high cash was at the 2018 $1,000 WSOP Little One for One Drop where she bagged $37,530 for a 12th place finish.

New Chapter as an Ambassador

As a poker ambassador with one of the most popular online poker sites on the planet, the Russian poker pro will have a very busy schedule that will include appearances at 888poker LIVE events. She also plans to change people’s minds especially in her home country where poker is still not considered to be a game of skill.
