Fedol Holz Adds Another High Roller Win Under His Belt, and Paul Vas Nunes Joins a Group of Elites with Two Pokerstar Sunday Million Wins

Poker tournaments have attracted a lot of attention in the past couple of weeks – and it is not just about the mind-blowing prize money. Many pro poker players have enjoyed huge wins within the same period which brings us to the focus of this writing. It is simply a tale of two great gamblers who have once again brought the house down with their amazing skills and managed to become some of the biggest champions and winners of this year.

Fedor Holz wins PokerStars High Roller

Fedor Holz has always been recognized as one of the most adept poker players of all time all thanks to his outright unnatural ability to mix his gameplay up and emerge victorious in quite a number of the events he participates in – it is simply extraordinary! The German player is best known for his prowess at live poker with his current total wins amounting to a whopping $26,548,871 – however since we are talking about the PokerStars High Roller Event we cannot dismiss the fact that Holz is also just as well versed in the online poker world as he is with live poker.

This he proved by winning the PokerStars High Rollers which kicked off on the 26th of November with the first 22 high stakes tournaments. Fedor Holz won Event #1:$2,100 NLHE, $1m GTD defeating a total of 442 players along the way and amassing $178,498 in winnings. Some of the big poker names he managed to beat included Argentina’s 88maca88 and Patrick ‘pad1161’ Leonard who, as it turns out, is a PartyPoker ambassador. The PokerStars High Roller Series festival is still on till December 4th and everyone is looking forward to how it plays out – with the way things are going, it will not come as much of surprise when Holz’s amazing tournament scoreboard gets even better with a few more wins.

The PokerStars High Roller being a prestigious event attracted a number of the best and most outstanding poker players from all around the world but only 55 of these players got a share of the $1 million prize pool.

Paul Vas Nunes Wins Second PokerStars Sunday Millions

Surrey-based Paul “pvas2” Vas Nunes also made headlines for winning the PokerStars Sunday Millions for the second time which totals his wins to about $2.3 million. PokerStars Sunday Millions was perhaps the biggest online poker tournament with a prize pool of $1,131,400 created by the 5,657 entries. The Sunday Millions tournament ended in a heads-chop after Vas Nunes and “Buschle” stroke a deal based on ICM but this was not sufficient enough for Vas Nunes’ ego. The pair played on against each other for the $20, 000 set aside for the winner who eventually turned out to be Vas Nunes – this was after Buschke agreed to give an additional $111 to his opponent. Paul Vas Nunes first win was in 2010’s PokerStars Sunday Millions tournament which places his current win seven years apart from the last – a fete that nearly no one else has been able to pull off.
