A number of huge names were still in the hunt for the lucrative prize in the final couple of rounds of events, but it was ultimately Michael Addamo that came out on top in the race for the grand prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addamo enjoyed a lucrative couple of wins to tighten his stranglehold on the top prize, winning both of the final two events that were up for grabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"addamo-wraps-up-victory-in-poker-masters\">Addamo Wraps Up Victory In Poker Masters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a lucrative final couple of rounds of action for Addamo, as he claimed victories in both the 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> events that were competed. In the eleventh event of the Poker Masters, he came out on top in a field of 29 other players to win a purse total of $680,000. That left him with a very straightforward goal to win the Purple Jacket in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> event, as he needed to finish in the top two places to cement the victory. Three stars that were likely contenders for the Purple Jacket entering the final stage of the event were Alex Foxen, Nick Petrangelo and <a href=\"https:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/player.php?a=r&amp;n=159100\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mikita Badziakouski<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, they needed a slip up from Addamo to stand any kind of chance, but that never looked likely as he took a vice-like grip on the final <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneypokersites.com\/news\/stephen-chidwick-claims-victory-in-10k-nlh\/\">event of the Poker Masters<\/a>. Addamo gave everything that he had to win the final event of the Poker Masters, and topped off an incredible weekend of performance by claiming a second straight victory in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> event. It was a lucrative victory for the Australian, as he picked up $1,160,000 in prize money for topping the leaderboard in the final event. In doing so, he held off the challenges that were laid down by two of the three main contenders that he had in the race for the Purple Jacket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"petrangelo-finishes-second-in-12th-event\">Petrangelo Finishes Second In 12<sup>th<\/sup> Event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Addamo was full of praise for his victories over the past weekend, as he claimed that he doesn\u2019t think that he has ever won two events of the same calibre in successive days previously. However, he needed to show all his quality in the final event, as he was pushed to the limit by Petrangelo. The American eventually finished the competition in second place overall, and collected 226 points in the race for the Purple Jacket. He has picked up prize money of $754,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Foxen was one of the only other players that could have won the Purple Jacket, but his chances of achieving that feat were ended as he crashed out in third. The American won prize money of $464,000.
