The event was called Every 1 For COVID Relief, and was the 33<sup>rd<\/sup> event of the WSOP Online. The eventual winner of the event was Alek Stasiak, who took home just over $343,000 as well as a golden bracelet. Undoubtedly, it was one of the most heartfelt moments of the entire WSOP Online event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were a huge number of entries for the event, with 2,323 players involved throughout the competition. The money that was contributed to charity came from the $111 that players needed to pay to buy-in. It was a nice touch from GGPoker, with all the proceeds going towards Caesars Entertainment Team members. The money will then by used to help those that have struggled over the past couple of months due to the global pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"huge-sum-of-money-raised-by-players\">Huge Sum Of Money Raised By Players<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a staggering amount of $354,756 contributed to the charity, with $257,853 of that sum coming from the buy-in amount that players needed to pay to get involved. The other $96,903 was pledged by GGPoker. The executive director of World Series of Poker, Ty Stewart commented on the pledge afterwards, and revealed that the money will be used to help the effort towards getting back to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poker legend <a href=\"https:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/player.php?a=r&amp;n=181\">Daniel Negreanu<\/a> was also in attendance for the cheque presentation, as he admitted that he was proud to be working with the company on such huge issues. The s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneypokersites.com\/news\/poker-events-continue-to-be-affected-by-the-coronavirus\/\">taggering charity donation means that GGPoker have no surpassed $600,000<\/a> in the amount of money that they have pledged for charities over the past six months. The company also contributed just over $250,000 earlier in the year towards the relief effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"paul-teoh-wins-first-gold-bracelet\">Paul Teoh Wins First Gold Bracelet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn\u2019t the only action to be taking place over the past week, as Paul Teoh also won his first gold bracelet in the $1,000 Short Deck event on Sunday. It was a momentous moment for the player from Malaysia. The closest that he had come to winning an event during the WSOP Online came last year when he finished in tenth during the 13<sup>th<\/sup> event of the series. However, he must have used that past experience to his own gain on Sunday as he held off stern competition to win the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His reward for such a strong performance came in the form of $82,202. That huge sum was awarded to Teoh for his win. Michelle Shah finished in second place, as the American picked up $60,254 for her performance. Mike Watson was also involved in the competitive action, as he was looking for a first gold bracelet. However, the Canadian was forced to settle for third, but he did take home $44,166 in prize money. There were also finishes in the top nine for Andrei Konopelko, Joseph Orsino, Jose Luis Maslhia and Boon Heng Siong.
