I worked with so many good people\u2026I\u2019ve had the\nopportunity to travel the world\u2026I wish everyone the best and I am super excited\nabout the future with my woman and\u2026love is in the air,” Negreanu flatly\nstated in the Twitter post.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
As expected, the move surprised a lot of people in the poker\ncommunity. While very many high-profile and big-name poker pros have parted ways\nwith PokerStars in the past, none was quite as shocking as Daniel Negreanu’s decision\nto do so. This is mainly because he has been one of the most recognizable faces\nof the company for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As it stands, Negreanu is yet to reveal any details about his\ndecision to leave PokerStars or any future sponsorship plans, if any \u2013 maybe he\nwill once everything cools down a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No Bad Blood<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Fortunately, there seems to be no controversy behind the move. In fact, after Negreanu posted his announcement on Twitter, the PokerStars team followed up with a post of their own thanking and praising the poker pro for having been the face of their operation for over a decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rebecca McAdam Willets, the PokerStars associate director\nfor group public relations was one of the PokerStars officials who thanked Negreanu.\nShe pointed out that he has “been one of the most influential faces of\npoker and indeed PokerStars for 12 years, and it has been wonderful to have his\npassion, support, and insights throughout\nour relationship.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We wish Daniel the very best for the future, as well as wedded bliss and tons of run good this summer,” she concluded.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
