PokerStars Launches PSPC Tour, Also Seminole Hard Rock

Chris Moneymaker

Poker pros who keep winning gain the attention of poker fans, which is why tours continue to get plenty of interest.

PokerStars has a tournament—the PSPC Tour, which will award the winner and eight others with $30,000 in Platinum Passes. The PSPC Tour is new and associated with Moneymaker.

Chris Moneymaker was able to win $2.5 million in the World Series of Poker Main Event. He qualified by playing online at PokerStars and wagering $86. Fifteen years later, it has been difficult for anyone to achieve the same win. The US market has been particularly hard since online gambling is illegal. PokerStars decided that if anyone was going to have a chance at having the same success as Moneymaker, then they needed to come up with a new way to get players involved.

The Moneymaker PSPC Tour is going to involve a no-limit hold’em championship. The tour will begin August 4, 2018, a Saturday night. There will be either different live cardrooms for players to join in. There is also the PokerStars NJ online website. The buy-in is $86. Winners will not only get the platinum pass, and the option of winning millions, but they will have cash prizes for the tour.

Chris will be on hand during the tour. He stated that he wants some other average person to win just like he did fifteen years ago.

Seminole Hard Rock

The Seminole Hard Rock casino has also teamed up with PokerStars to offer two of the Platinum Passes. The first is a prize in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casinos Summer Freeroll, which is a $65k prize pool. The second opportunity to win a platinum pass is during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, which is a play to win poker promotion. Players have to log 100 hours or higher on jackpot eligible games from July 31st to August 1st. The winner will be announced at the casino. You also have to enter one event during the SHRPO between August 2 and 14 to be able to be drawn as a winner for the second platinum pass.

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Resort is launching a Guitar shaped hotel in Hollywood. It is just the next big thing to happen to the chain, in Florida.

Not only will people be able to enjoy tournaments with possible high winnings, but they can elect to stay at a guitar shaped hotel.
